After many years of planning, collaboration with the Connecticut State Fire Fighters Association, and working with our local and state representatives, the construction of the new Fairfield Regional Fire School has finally become a reality.
The School remains the property of the Town of Fairfield who manages and operates the facility, not only for the Fairfield FD Training Division but also offering its use to other town departments, State agencies, and neighboring fire departments in exchange for support from the State of Connecticut. The school brings together the best instructors in Fairfield County and beyond to support emergency services education.
The new FRFS campus now includes a >1,400 square foot classroom, administration and 3 bay apparatus building, a brand new three story Class A burn building (>5,400 square feet) allowing numerous realistic live fire scenarios, a rehab of our four story tower and burn building including the inclusion of engineered anchors for technical rope rescue work, a pumper draft station and numerous LPG training props, all designed to enhance the firefighters' skills and training in realistic scenarios.
With the opening of our new facility, we look forward to seeing you and your companies down at the school. We are working hard to schedule programs that will meet your departments' needs.
We hope that you appreciate the hard work and countless hours that went into building this facility, always with our students' needs and the public we protect in mind.
