Government/Private sector Rates

CLASSROOM Rental Fee

Use of one small classroom for 8 hours maximum between 8 am and 6 pm (Partial and Weekend Rental Rates Vary -Contact Staff for details.)

ANTICIPATED Additional Hour(s) Fee

Any additional time over the 8 hour rental scheduled in advance                (this applies to classroom or practical use)

UNPLANNED Hold Over Fee

Hold over fee for classes that run longer than 8 hours without advance/ 24 hour notice (this applies to classroom or practical use)

WHOLE INDOOR FACILITY Use

Weekday entire classroom facility use for 8 hours

OUTDOOR PRACTICAL Use

Includes the use of one small classroom, NO FIRE, 8 hour max, plus the cost of consumables

LIVE FIRE Fee

This additional fee is charged for live fire training to sustain long term repairs and inspections of the tower and burn building.

NOTE: ALL LIVE FIRE TRAINING REQUIRES A FRFS SAFETY OFFICER ON SITE (see fees below)

CANCELLATION/NO SHOW Fee

Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice or NO SHOW

8 Hour Live Fire Program (NFPA 1403)

Price per max. 24 student group for 8 hours of live fire training, NFPA 1403 compliant (includes 3 instructors, 1 safety officer and 1 incident commander)

Healthcare Provider CPR/AED

 Per student cost includes textbook, face barrier, and AHA certification card based on a 3 hour class 8:1 ratio

Certified Pump Operator

Per student cost includes CFA testing and certification (textbook NOT included)

PREREQUISITE: Firefighter 1 and a Connecticut Driver's License with a "Q" endorsement

Building Construction Class

3.5 hour classroom presentation (your department or FRFS)

Confined Space Training

Let FRFS specialists create a custom confined space program for your department. Please call or email the school for pricing based on your needs.

Flashover Individual Enrollment

Price includes materials and instruction per student 

Firefighter I Certification

Per student cost includes CFA testing and certification (textbook included) PREREQUISITE: 18 years of age

Firefighter II Certification

Per student cost includes CFA testing and certification (textbook NOT included) PREREQUISITE: Firefighter I Certification

"Q" Driving Endorsement

Per student cost includes weekday testing

PREREQUISITE: Valid Connecticut Drivers License

NCCP EMR/EMT Refresher Training

Contract Classes

Flashover Contract Class

Class includes materials and instruction for up to 16 students - lunch can be provided for an additional charge

8 Hour Live Fire Training Program (NFPA 1403)

Class includes instruction and materials for up to 16 students (3 instructors, 1 safety officer and 1 incident commander) - lunch can be provided for an additional charge

Hazardous Materials Portion of FFI

Per student price for Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations (FFI curriculum)

A contract class can be offered for up to 24 students at $3,000

Safe Driving Practices for Fire Service Responders

3 hour classroom delivery    


Hazardous Materials Bridge - Operations ONLY

Propane Training (vehicle, grill, tank and pipe props)

3 hour training for up 20 students includes 50 gallons of propane and 2 required operators (additional propane at market price)

Each additional hour of propane training over the first 3 $110 per hour


Lay Person Courses

These courses can be offered at any time with enough student interest, Please reach out to FRFS staff to discuss.

Fire Extinguishers Training (OSHA Compliant)

Per student price for non-firefighters

Fire Extinguishers Training (OSHA Compliant) - Contract Class

For up to 24 non-firefighter students

Heart Saver CPR/AED

Per student cost includes textbook, face barrier, and AHA certification card

Heart Saver FIRST AID (includes pediatrics)

Per student based on a 6-8 hours class (8:1 ratio), includes textbook and student supply kit 

Heart Saver CPR/AED and FIRST AID

Per student based on a 6-8 hours class (8:1 ratio), includes textbook, student supply kit and AHA certification card

Heart Saver CPR/AED and FIRST AID - Contract Class

Price includes supplies, textbooks and AHA cards for up to 10 students based on a 6-8 hour class, 2 instructors. Each additional students $50 each (8:1 student/instructor ratio)
